ABRSM graded music exam is:

According to ABRSM official website, the ABRSM graded music exam are at eight levels (Grades 1-8). They provide our students: 
​

• progressive goals to aim for;
• recognition for achievement;
• carefully structured syllabus requirements;
• one-to-one assessment by an expert professional;
• an objective guide to a candidate’s skills and progress.

There are no age restrictions and students can start with any grade or skip grades if they want to.

ABRSM graded music exam includes: 

• Pieces and songs: Good performance ability. 
• Scales and arpeggios: Firm technique. 
• Sight-reading: Make sure reading the notation accurately.
• Aural test: Listening and musical perception.

Update: 2 June 2021 – online Music Theory exam session

Don’t forget, the online Music Theory session is now open.  
All grades are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week up to and including 23 June.  
Please make all preparations well in advance of the planned exam day.
​This is particularly important for candidates taking their exam towards the end of the session.
